This year, ImPulsTanz and the mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien invite you to a performance festival within the festival that combines curatorial and artistic approaches and positions in a new way with filmic and performative works by Trajal Harrell, Geumhyung Jeong, Dana Michel and Eszter Salamon, among others, curated by Christine Standfest and Marianne Dobner (mumok). In addition, ImPulsTanz will once again be a guest at Künstlerhaus Factory – with Liquid Loft / Chris Haring, Christine Gaigg and Silke Grabinger – and for the first time at MAK – with four installations by William Forsythe – as well as at Galerie Kandlhofer.

French choreographer Maud Le Pladec can be seen for the first time at ImPulsTanz with her piece Silent Legacy, in which 11-year-old Adeline Kerry Cruz and her mentor Jr Maddripp, who also teaches a workshop this year, take Krump to the stage. With Make Banana Cry, Andrew Tay and Stephen Thompson playfully and critically reckon with the Western concept of ‘being Asian’. And Lucy Guerin is a guest with a double feature of Split and How To Be Us.
